톰 요크가 올 7월 즈음에 솔로 앨범을 낼 거라네요. 톰은 그러나 라디오헤드의 배신자가 아닐 뿐더러
밴드의 모든 멤버가 그의 솔로 앨범을 축복하고 있다며, 라됴헤드의 친목을 강조하고 있어요.
몇 년간 잉태해 온 탓에 확실히 엄청 큰 앨범이 될 것이라는 것으로 봐서는
더블 앨범의 가능성도 있는 것 같은데... 알 수 없구요.

그들의 새 앨범이 내년으로 늦춰진 건 아쉽지만, 그의 솔로 앨범은 조만간 들을 수 있을 거 같군요.
새 앨범은 어머니의 죽음으로 인한 드러머의 상실감과 그의 솔로 앨범 작업 등의 이유로 연기되지 않았을까 싶어요.

Thom Yorke Announces Solo Album
But he\'s no Radiohead \'traitor\'....

Radiohead’s Thom Yorke has announced the release of his first ever solo album, The Eraser.

However, the typically truculent star has said he doesn’t want the record – which he describes as “beats & electronics” - to be known as a ‘solo’ project and is keen to avoid being dubbed a “traitor” to his band.

Yorke, in an email to fan sites, says the album – which has been produced by Radiohead knob-twiddler Nigel Godrich - will be released in July after several years in gestation.

He writes, “The elements have been kicking round now for a few years and needed to be finished & I have been itching to do something like this for ages. It was fun and quick to do. Inevitably it is more beats & electronics, but its songs.

\"No its not a radiohead record. As you know the band are now touring and writing new stuff and getting to a good space so i want no crap about me being a traitor or whatever splitting up blah blah... this was all done with their blessing.

\"And i don\'t wanna hear that word solo. Doesnt sound right. Ok then thats that. I think its out in july and im pretty certain XL are going to put it out.\"

Radiohead, who are currently playing dates in Britain, have just delayed the release of their new album until 2007.
